At TIA, our annual International Field Trip is an extension of our World Language Program. Every year, teachers and students decide what part of the world they would like to explore. Then, each student is responsible to raise the funds necessary for their experience. In the recent past we traveled to China in 2014, England, March 12-21, 2015 and Spain, Morocco and Italy 2016.
If you would like to donate to this year’s trip and help with our students’ expenses, you may use the PayPal link below (You can use Paypal as a guest through their secure checkout or sign up for a free account to use for future convenient and secure payments to TIA via Paypal).
The estimated cost of an 8-day international trip is usually $3000 per person. How do we propose students raise this kind of money? First, we recommend that all students and families take advantage of the Arizona school tax donation. Ask all relatives and friends to consider sending the allowable $200 per single tax return or $400 per couple tax return to TIA with the designated use for your child’s International trip (name child on the check in the memo area).
If relatives donate for this year’s taxes and then donate again after the new year for the next tax year, your child earned at least $800 towards his/her trip! With three to four relatives/ friends donating like that, your trip is easily paid for. Donations could even be given for parents via TIA simply by designating “chaperone” and your name. Also, we encourage parents to ask your boss and work friends to consider sponsoring you and your child for this trip.
In addition to sponsorships, we do a number of fundraising projects, and money can be raised that way as well.
Start planning now to take your child on an International Field Trip next year!
